September Colloquium

Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action and the Centre for Education Rights and Transformation are pleased to announce the first Colloquium on Challenging Homophobia and Trans-phobia in South African Schools and Promoting Good Practise. The colloquium will be held on 6–7 September at the University of Johannesburg.

The Colloquium provides an opportunity for educators, researchers, activists, and policy and public-opinion makers to discuss the scope and impact of homophobia and trans-phobia in education, to present new research and work-in-progress, and to share information on good practice in policy and programming to address this issue.

This colloquium has been made possible by the support of SAIH, the Norwegian Students’ and Academics’ International Assistance Fund.
