GALA Mission Statement
The advancement, development and rights of LGBTI people depend on an accurate record and representation of their struggles. GALA mobilises memory by documenting and popularizing the lives and histories of LGBTI South Africans. In so doing it contributes to the development of pride, challenges homophobia and entrenches the rights of LGBTI people.

STRATEGIC PLAN
The Strategic Plan of Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action 2007-2011 details our goals for the next 5 years, the strategies we will use to achieve these goals, and the measures by which we will evaluate our progress. This plan was created with the input of our staff and our stakeholders.

GALA ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
GALA was registered as an independent Trust and NPO with the Masters Office in Pretoria in 2007 (prior to this GALA was an independent project of the South African History Archive Trust).
